Arch. Manuel Bermúdez awarded Henry Klumb Prize by the CAAPPR

At the conclusion of Architecture Week, the College of Architects and Landscape Architects of Puerto Rico (CAAPPR) awarded Architect Manuel Bermúdez with the prestigious Henry Klumb Prize, for his career, performance, sense of commitment and contribution to the profession and the teaching of architecture.

Created in 1981, the Henry Klumb Prize represents the highest distinction conferred by the CAAPPR. The award honors the memory of Arch. Henry Klumb, who was born in Germany in 1905 and settled in Puerto Rico in 1944, where he remained until his death in 1984. His work is characterized by integrating the fundamental principles of the architecture of the Modern Movement, characterized by functionality, adaptation to the climatic conditions of the environment and spatial fluidity.
