A Guide to Resilient Housing Design in Island Communities

"A fin de satisfacer la necesidad inmediata de una guía práctica de diseño y construcción, Enterprise, junto con nuestro socios, producimos un manual para ayudar a estructurar la construcción de viviendas en Puerto Rico, Islas Vírgenes de EE.UU. y Cayos de la Florida. La guía Manténgase Seguro busca lograr que las viviendas reconstruidas puedan resistir el impacto de desastres naturales como huracanes, terremotos e inundaciones.
La guía Manténgase Seguro también ayudará a identificar las mejores formas de adaptar un hogar o instalación residencial así como las prácticas cotidianas para manejar los peligros que surjan debido al cambio climático. No necesita reservas financieras ni experiencia en construcción para hacer cambios que protejan tanto a las personas que ama al desastre. Ya sea que planifique construir un nuevo hogar o que desee actualizar el en que vive actualmente, aquí encontrará estrategias que rendirán múltiples beneficios por su inversión.
La producción de Manténgase Seguro es parte de la iniciativa Climate Strong Islands (CSII, por sus siglas en inglés) de Enterprise Community Partners. La iniciativa CSII también fue diseñada para ayudar con la recuperación a largo plazo y anticipar los efectos futuros del clima.
